About Us
JAMM Entertainment Services is the largest company of it its kind in Alabama. Over 25 years ago, Geoff Carlisle began hosting high school dances as a DJ. Today, he and his staff provide entertainment for hundreds of events including: weddings, mitzvahs, school dances, private parties, corporate functions and large-scale events. The ability to successfully serve such a wide variety of markets differentiates JAMM from its competitors.
Our true hallmark is our phenomenal DJs and MCs. As we like to say, anyone can play music, our DJs entertain! "Normally, a DJ will set up sound and lighting, then sit behind his table having little contact with the guests. But we’re in front of the table as much as the client will allow, doing activities and icebreakers from limbo to the chicken dance, whatever it may be to get people involved in the party," Geoff explains.
JAMM’s state-of-the-art equipment and dynamic, well-trained employees allow them the creative freedom to adapt their services precisely to whatever setting the client requests. JAMM also brings years of experience in event planning and coordination to the party, with comprehensive planning guides for events of all kinds to help you make sure you cover all the bases ahead of time. When planning the festivities begin, you can relax and enjoy the good times with your guests.

What’s your favorite recollection of a special event?
One of my most memorable moments happened at an International Science Convention Post Party. There were kids from all around the world attending. Music became the international language when I had four different conga lines going around the room.
What inspires and/or motivates you to be a DJ?
I love to entertain & bring over 25 years of experience to every event. When people leave a party smiling & happy, I know that I helped make the event a success.
Any hobbies or special interests?
Music, of course, scuba diving, traveling with family

What’s your favorite recollection of a special event?
At one of the Wedding Receptions I performed, the parents of the bride never had a first dance 30 years ago when they were married. So I cleared the dance floor and dedicated a special song just for the couple…they cried!
What inspires and/or motivates you to be a DJ?
It’s nice to be able to share in special moments such as a wedding reception or even a surprise birthday. It’s also great having a job knowing that each event you go to is going to be different from the last!
Any hobbies or special interests?
Anything to do with the house, mostly remodeling & making something look new again! I also would rather go up to “God’s Country” as opposed to going to the beach!

What inspires and/or motivates you to be a DJ?
My lifelong love of music and sound equipment, mixed with a semester of broadcasting on a college radio station. In college I started playing at parties, events and ran sound for bands at local venues. After a 20 year rest, JAMM has given me the opportunity to reconnect with my old love of providing people with the best possible music experience for their event.
